Balancing – why is it important?

Impeller and rotor balancing is essential for maintaining smooth operation of radial blowers. Imbalances can lead to excessive vibration, noise, bearing wear and device failure.

For bedside devices such as CPAP machines, noise and vibration must be kept to a minimum in order to maximise patient comfort (for a good night’s sleep). Whilst for applications such as factory bottle drying, reliability and long blower life is essential, to avoid costly servicing and downtime.

Steady Motor are experts in finely balancing impellers and rotors for our blowers. Ensuring both quiet operation and a life expectancy of >20,000 hours continuous operation.

If you are looking for a quiet, reliable radial blower for your new device design, please don’t hesitate to contact us for support.
